		<description><![CDATA[Thanks Niall, it&#039;s nice to know that you think my lighting is OK. My set-up is very simple but I suspect it differs from most MYN photographers in that my front flash is provided by a heavily diffused MT-24 twin flash. This post on my blog shows how I diffuse the MT-24:

The rear flash is simply a Canon 430EXII Speedlite placed behind (or underneath) the white perspex and fired as a slave from the MT-24. 

I&#039;m a big fan of the (diffused) MT-24 when using short focal length macro lenses so I was keen to continue to use it for MYN style images. The only problem I&#039;ve found is that, when shooting larger subjects (e.g. large dragonflies), the lens obviously has to be further away from the subject meaning the MT-24 has to be further away from the Speedlite and, on occasions, the heavily diffused flash has failed to fire the slave. But I could usually get it to fire OK and for smaller subjects it seems to work fine.
