Meet Your Neighbours’ contributing photographers use the field-studio technique in a variety of different projects and efforts. The clean white MYN approach is the perfect tool for developing support imagery for conservation, educational and scientifically focused efforts.
Anacostia Project: The Anacostia Project aims to help local non-profits and governments build a campaign of community support around the Washington D.C. river, to document current efforts to restore the river, and encourage local leaders to both recognize the great value of the river, and then make the Anacostia a priority. Developed by contributing photographer Krista Schlyer.
Beautiful Bees: A spin-off project developed by MYN Co-founder Clay Bolt. In 2014 Clay set off on an adventure to tell the story North America’s native bees through words, images and video. North America is home to over 4,000 known species of native bees whose services are worth an estimated $3 billion dollars per year to the US economy in the agricultural sector alone. It’s time to celebrate their extraordinary beauty, their value to our world and the challenges that they face each day.
Filming Florida:Filming Florida is a three-year journey undertaken by conservation photographer and filmmaker Drew Fulton to tell the story of the natural landscape and biodiversity of Florida. It is a narrative of Florida’s inherent beauty interwoven with the photographer’s experiences of discovery and filmmaking. Filming Florida showcases one of the country’s most diverse states—its landscape, wildlife, and natural history—while inspiring individuals to learn about, explore, and conserve the incredible biodiversity of Florida.
The Symbol: Wall Lizards of Ibiza and Formentera is the first ever book about the Ibiza wall lizard – the symbol of Spain’s Pityusic islands. Through breathtaking photography and knowledge based on decades of scientific research, the authors (MYN contributors Neil Losin and Nate Dappen) will take you into lives of this amazing reptile like never before. What makes this colorful lizard so special? The Symbol will take you on a beautiful journey into the culture, biology, ecology, evolution and conservation of Ibiza and Formentera’s most iconic animal.
